Just a few snaps of the first three days. Obviously there are many more, but uploading is slow and this monitor is too dark to see properly (I can't see too well what to post).

Niall O'Leary insists on sharing his hare-brained notions and hysterical emotions. Personal obsessions with cinema, literature, food and alcohol feature regularly.

What can I say except it takes a hard man to go to the Antarctic and Dennis has always been up to the challenge. It didn't take too long to sew my ears back on though. To be honest, on the way down things were very bearable, once you were on the back of the boat on a lower deck (more shelter). Up the top at the front was manic, particularly during the rough weather. I don't know if I ever enjoyed the cold so much as gripping on to the rail while the ship lurched into another trough, and I'm not kidding. Amazing!
